Hi all! I have been so excited about this recipe. As with all of my recipes and videos, I put tons of love into it. Everyone who eats my fried chicken enjoys it so much and rave about how crunchy and flavorful it is. I have been fixing my chicken like this for years now and this is the only way I cook it now. I hope that you all enjoy this recipe just as much as my family and friends do. DON’T FORGET, make sure you LIKE the video and SUBSCRIBE to my channel. Stay blessed ✌🏽.
PREP/COOKING TIME: 1.5 - 2 hours
SERVING SIZE: 4
INGREDIENTS/GROCERY LIST LINKS:
Whole Chicken Wings (cleansed and patted dry)
Flour
Louisiana Hot Sauce
Oil
Seasonings (sorry I didn’t measure): season salt, kosher salt (not too heavy), black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, pinch of cumin, red pepper, creole seasoning and smoked paprika
DIRECTIONS
1. Start by placing wings in a mixing bowl and beat with fork or knife, then cover in hot sauce. *Also try injecting the chicken with hot sauce. You won’t regret.
2. Next, season the wings with all seasoning. I season by eye and the taste that I want to get the most out of the chicken. Go light on the salt and cumin. Mix well, cover and place in the refrigerator while preparing the rest of the meal. I allowed my chicken to marinate for about an hour.
3. Add oil to frying pan and heat oil to 350 degrees.
4. While you are waiting for the oil to heat, add flour to a ziplock bag or whatever you choose to use, then season flour with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper, and creole seasoning.
5. Add chicken to bag and shake. I like to also press the flour into the chicken. *I do not shake off the excess flour before adding it to the grease.
6. Add chicken to grease. I allowed the wings to cook about 5-7 minutes on both sides.
I paired this with Broccoli Casserole (will be available soon) and Greens. Look out for those videos!
