Hey! I’m back with another recipe.
So, like you saw in the title. I decided to cook shrimp and grits. It has been quite some time since I fixed shrimp and grits. It was my intention to try the recipe with grit cakes, but they just turned into a gritty mess, so I decided to stick with shrimp and grits and make them Cajun. Oh and I did not measure.

DIRECTIONS
1. In a pot add grits, chicken broth, and heavy whipping cream (I used equal parts and added water to thin when needed). Add sour cream, butter, Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir well and cook on low.
2. In a separate saucepan, add butter and shrimp. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until shrimp are done. Remove shrimp (leave drippings) and set aside.
3. Add butter, minced garlic, peppers, onions, cornstarch, chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt and pepper. Add more chicken broth to thin.
4. Add shrimp to sauce and serve sauce over grits. Add parsley and parmesan cheese for more flavor and garnish.
