Tacos & Tequila Bar Crawl | Midtown Atlanta

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my blog. I wanted to tell you all about my experience at the Tacos and Tequila Bar Crawl. My friend hit me up after seeing it in a food group page on Facebook. It looked like something different from the usual and it was time to get outside!

We were a little unsure of what address to go to but once we found the right address, we were on our way. Parking was easy and affordable. There was a huge Park Mobile parking lot near check-in and not far from the other restaurants.

After checking in, we received our wristbands and a QR Code to scan for a map of all the restaurants. Our first Stop was Zocalo’s. From the time we stepped in the restaurant, there was a good lit vibe. The had great music and everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. We had a choice of beef or chicken tinga tacos. We all decided to try the chicken. The taco tasted like it may have been made earlier in the day. It was very soggy and not appetizing. We decided to try their drinks. We went with the Passion Fruit Frozen Margarita. This is probably one of the best frozen margaritas that I have had in a while. There was an even amount of all flavors. It was very tasty.

Our next was Senor Patron, but we ended up following another group of nice ladies and ended up at Fado Irish Pub.The vibe was just as poppin as Zocalos. We were dancing walking through the door. They had a choice of Pulled Pork Pineapple & Mango Salsa or Chicken Tinga Tacos. We went with the chicken again. I think we were trying to stay safe 😆. The chicken taco was actually very good. It tasted very fresh. It was warm and had great flavors.

After leaving Fado Irish Pub, we headed to Amici Midtown. I am not sure what happened, but it took us forever to get there. We actually got lost and walked wayyyy out of the way! After a long walk, we finally made it to Amici Midtown. The music was good, but we were so freaking tired from walking and being hot. The line for food was long and not moving so we found our way inside to get some cool air. We found a table and ordered mozzarella sticks, margaritas, and wings. Two of us went out to get pizzas that were apart of the crawl. It took forever. They did not have enough pizza for the event and it seems like they were short staffed. Anyways, we finally got our food. I decided to do the plain with cheese and my friend and cousin got everything. My friend enjoyed her fully loaded Mexican pizza and my plain pizza was not bad. It had a different taste and I will definitely be trying to make it at home. The house margaritas were not good. They tasted like limeade. We had to wait a long time for the mozzarella sticks and we just cancelled the wings due to us just having to wait too long and we still had to visit the other spots before the event ended.

Now on to Tin Lizzy! After that long walk to Amici Midtown, we decided to take an Uber to Tin Lizzy. It was just around the corner, but the Uber was so worth it. After walking in to Tin Lizzy. We were not for sure what was going on or where to get the tacos neither did the host. It was unlike the other restaurants/bars and more calm. We made our way to the bar and we made it to the right place. We got Chicken con Queso Tacos. It was very very good and the chicken was fried very well and very tasty.

After that quick bite, we headed over to Koo Koo for the after party. No one was there and it needed to be renovated. The furniture was old and torn. The whole place needed to be cleaned. We took a few pictures and headed to Publico since we passed it on the way. My friend was the only one the tried the tacos and they were just ok (you must see the video to see why we did not want to eat there).

That was the end of the taco crawl. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was something new and exciting to do something different. I would definitely try another bar crawl in the future or just do my own with a group of friends on my own time.

We were still needing food that satisfied our appetite. We headed over to 10 & Piedmont. They had great music the waiters were enjoying themselves it was a fun way to end the day. The drinks were the best, but we did enjoy the food.

Sweet Potato Cornbread Muffins

Hey Guys!  I know, I know, it has been quite some time since I last posted. I was going back and forth, deciding if I wanted to continue Good Eats With Tip or add my cooking videos to my other channel All Things With Tip. The Good Eats With Tip Channel was not doing as well as I hoped, so I decided to add my videos to All Things With Tip. Maybe I will decide to switch again later, but who knows. I will allow God to lead me. For this recipe, I decided to make Sweet Potato Cornbread Muffins. I have been seeing others with their own recipes and decided to try it for myself. I decided to keep it simple and use Jiffy Cornbread as the base and then added the ingredients that I though would pair best. I was not planning to make a desert, so I did not want it too sweet. My goal was to still be able to taste the cornbread, but enhance the flavor of the sweet potato. See the recipe and video below.
